Work is progressing to complete the North Avenue Repavement Project. Illinois Department of Transportation is ready to lay the final coat of asphalt, which would result in tremendous traffic tie-ups, as each section of the pavement has to be blocked off to cure. Therefore, beginning on Monday, August 29th and ending on Thursday, September 1st, IDOT will work on North Avenue from Clark to Halsted at night, starting at 8 pm. No work will be done during the day on these dates.
